Hylton Performing Arts Center Seeks Front of House and Community Inclusion Manager
George Mason University’s Hylton Performing Arts Center (HPAC) seeks qualified candidates for the Front of House and Community Inclusion Manager position. This position provides leadership to the Front of House staff before and during events, ensuring necessary preparation as well as staffing for each event. This position is responsible for the recruiting, hiring, training and scheduling of paid and volunteer staff for the center.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all Front of House Operations during and after events;
- Recruit, hire, and train staff, to ensure quality of customer service and knowledge of emergency procedures;
- Effectively communicate pertinent information concerning events to proper staff;
- Assist in the coordination of event preparations through staffing and ensuring proper facilities setup; and
- Develop HPAC’s Accessibility programs for patrons with disabilities, and serve as ADA coordinator for the facility.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience;
- Excellent organizational and communication skills;
- Ability to supervise a diverse staff of volunteers and paid employees;
- Demonstrated commitment to high-level customer service;
- Knowledge of ADA laws; and
- Ability to work a varied schedule that includes frequent nights and weekends
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in an arts organization, particularly performing arts; and
- CPR and First Aid certification.
