Kid Pan Alley (KPA), a unique non-profit arts organization that provides in-school and online group creative songwriting workshops for children, seeks a highly motivated, self-directed, Program Administrator to join our team, starting at 25-30 hours per week (with opportunity for more hours in fall). - and with opportunities for professional development and advancement.

Responsibilities
The Program Administrator’s primary role will be booking and managing Kid Pan Alley songwriting residency programs in schools. This includes handling everything from the initial outreach/communications with schools, to scheduling residencies, sending contracts, and managing logistics. They will also perform some additional administrative responsibilities that support the day-to-day operations of the organization. Most work will be done remotely, with some in-person work at the Washington, VA office (when public health circumstances permit). Responsibilities include:

● Scheduling and organizing residency programs in schools

● Maintaining contact lists and relationships with school administrators (Past & Present)

● Research, develop, & build new relationships with school administrators (cold calling/emailing)

● Handling day-to-day communications with schools and KPA teachers

● Write, edit, send/receive contracts & proposals for school residency programs

● Communication with donors

● General administration as needed

Job Qualifications

• 3+ years experience in or working with educational institutions, school administration, or nonprofit arts organizations

• Strong relationships with local educators & school administrators

• Experience with Consumer Relationship Management (CRM) software (Salesforce) is preferred

• Proactive self-starter with excellent organizational and communications skills, both verbal and written

• Experience with Apple computers (Mac OS), Dropbox, Google Docs/Drive, as well as Microsoft Office

• An interest in music or the arts is highly preferred
