Santa Fe Chamber Music Festival - Summer 2023 Internship Opportunities!
The Santa Fe Chamber Music Festival is now accepting applications for seasonal staff positions. Successful candidates will be integral members of the festival staff for its 50th Season in July and August 2023.
Artistic Administration Intern
Responsibilities:
Primary duties include maintaining the Artistic Director’s calendar, welcoming and orienting artists, driving artists from Albuquerque airport, preparing and distributing parts and schedules, and assisting with music preparation and rehearsal setup.
Qualifications:
A successful applicant will have a classical music background; a valid driver's license; good communication, people, organizational, and computer skills; a positive attitude; the ability to work calmly in fast-paced environment; and be 21 years old by July 10, 2023. Enrollment in Arts Administration program and prior experience working with artists are both a plus.
Term of employment: June 26 – August 22, 2023. Hours will vary, $15.00 per hour, housing in Santa Fe and a rental car are provided.
Development & Special Events Intern
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities are varied and include working with the Development Team on the Festival’s 50th Anniversary Opening Weekend Gala, several donor stewardship and cultivation events, and the Festival’s Closing Night Party; assisting the department with donor mailings and meeting preparation; maintaining donor files and other development materials; assisting with donor benefit fulfillment; and helping with social media as needed
Qualifications:
A successful applicant will have good interpersonal skills and attention to detail; desire to learn more about development and special events planning; ability to remain composed in fast-paced situations; strong writing proof reading and spelling skills; knowledge of Microsoft Office applications; experience with relational databases is strongly preferred.
Term of employment: June 5 – August 22, 2023. 40 hours/week (Monday through Friday from 9:00 am—5:00 pm, although hours will vary during weeks when special events are taking place in the evening or on the weekend). Stipend $15.00 per hour; housing in Santa Fe is provided.
