National Arts Strategies (NAS) seeks Program & Communications Operations Assistant!

This is a full-time position, and NAS has adopted a four-day work week. The schedule for this position is Monday through Thursday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm with an hour for lunch. An alternate schedule may be possible and should be discussed with the supervisor.

The starting salary for this position is $48,000 per year, plus the benefits we currently offer, which include health insurance and retirement benefits, sick/vacation leave, ongoing professional development, and flexible work hours.

NAS has returned to a combination of remote work and work from our office, located in a Metro­ accessible location in Alexandria, Virginia. This position is required to work from our office four days per month at a minimum.

Responsibilities:

  • Event Experiences: Support in-person and online event coordination (venue search, scheduling, etc.) including material preparation (buying, printing, shipping, etc.)
  • Operations support for Leadership Coaching Program under the supervision of the Program Manager
  • Creating and maintaining relationships externally

Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years' experience working in a customer service, event planning, or logistics coordination role
  • Demonstrated ability to work in small, fast paced teams
  • Excellent communication and listening skills
  • Excellent project management skills: detail-oriented, consistent, organized, and on time.
