Glen Echo Pottery seeks Executive Director
Glen Echo Pottery (GEP) is seeking a full-time Executive Director responsible for the management and administration of its ceramic arts-based education programs. GEP is a midsize non-profit school with a mission to “build and sustain a strong, inclusive ceramic arts community focused on both individual learning and collaborative pursuits of excellence in clay. Anchoring our programs in strong instruction and inspiration, we strive to create opportunities for all participants to share their skills, artistry, and joy with others within and beyond the bounds of our studio.”
The salary for this position is $65,000-$80,000 and includes health insurance coverage, paid leave, partial remote work options, and flexible hours.
Executive Director Responsibilities
- Annual budget development and financial management
- Grant-writing/reporting/grant cycle management
- Overall program administration and assessment

Executive Director Position Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and 3-5 years of prior management experience in a small-to-medium community arts non-profit organization or similar environment
- Proven financial management experience, including budget development, generating financial reports, reporting to Board on financial matters and bookkeeping knowledge.
- Proven grant-writing and grants-management experience; other fundraising skills
