Three Internship Opportunities with Inspira Dance

Inspira Dance is a non-profit organization whose mission is to provide sustainable, high-quality dance programs for all students. At our core we are a community-based organization, working to make dance an integral part of our community spaces. The name Inspira comes from the Spanish word “Inspirar” – to inspire – and acknowledges the history of this organization in Latin dance programs for students and our desire to have our community come together to inspire the next generation of dancers.

Dance Intern

The ideal candidate is familiar with and interested in working with students and has a background in dance. The candidate must be interested in working with a team to develop and support the mission of Inspira Dance. The internship is a great opportunity to gain real-world professional experience with an opportunity to make impact.

Responsibilities

  • Develop your schedule with the Programming Director, roughly supporting 5-8 hours of student classes during the week
  • Attend weekly meetings with Founder of the organization, along with other key staff members
  • Assist with dance event organization, and creating community spaces for our adult dance programming

Qualifications

  • Students with a background in dance or education
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, highly positive and energetic
  • Previous experience working with children

Fundraising Intern

The ideal candidate is familiar with and interested in fundraising and donor/sponsor cultivation and stewardship. The candidate must be interested in working with a team to develop and support the mission of Inspira Dance. The internship is a great opportunity to gain real-world professional experience with an opportunity to make impact.

Responsibilities

  • Attend weekly meetings with the founder of the organization, along with other key staff members
  • Research funding sources including foundations, corporations, and private enterprises and individuals
  • Help prepare, edit, and record grant applications and supporting materials

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate students with a background in dance, business, fundraising, or marketing
  • Highly organized and attentive to detail
  • Interest in working with and promoting non-profit organizations

Marketing/Press Intern

The ideal candidate is familiar with and interested in marketing and press opportunities. The candidate must be interested in working with a team to develop and support the mission of Inspira Dance. The internship is a great opportunity to gain real-world professional experience with an opportunity to make impact.

Responsibilities

  • Attend weekly meetings with the founder of the organization, along with other key staff members
  • Help prepare, edit, and record press releases
  • Design your schedule with the Executive Director to align your goals and outcomes with specific deadlines

Qualifications

  • Students with a background in dance, business, fundraising, or marketing
  • Highly organized and attentive to detail
  • Interest in working with and promoting non-profit organizations
