K-Harmony seeks Children's Choir Music Director
K-Harmony is a Korean American Children’s Choir based in the DMV region. The chorus has 20+ active members since its start in 2021. The chorus is currently conducting a search for a new Director to oversee our music program.
Responsibilities
- Prepare in advance and conduct weekly two-hour chorus rehearsals, which are held on Saturday afternoons. Compensation for the weekly rehearsals will be $100.
- Direct choral performances and shows. Advanced notice will be provided and most performances are during the weekends. Compensation for musical performances will also be $100.
- Collaborate with the Strategy & Planning Team to create an annual music plan and select music for the chorus repertoire.
Qualifications
- Korean language fluency is preferred but not required.
- We welcome people from all backgrounds to apply, including college or graduate students.
- Experience conducting is preferred, but not required. Must have a background or experience in music. A degree in music is not required.
