October 3, 2025George Mason University’s College of Visual and Performing Arts (CVPA) is offering free tickets to select performances across Mason Arts venues for federal employees and/or contractors impacted by the U.S. government shutdown.
Dr. Niyati Dhokai is a Research Associate Professor in the College of Visual and Performing Arts at George Mason University, and she also serves as Program Director for the Veterans and the Arts Initiative at the Hylton Performing Arts Center. I
Adrienne comes to George Mason University with a wealth of experience working for both presenting organizations as well as artist-led ensembles.
Julie Thompson, Executive Director of the Center for the Arts at George Mason University, joined the university more than fifteen years ago after a career as a professional stage manager in regional theater and opera, including long-term residencies at Minnesota Opera, Washington Opera at the Kennedy Center, Wolf Trap Opera, and Center Stage in Baltimore.
